About IPSSW
The International Pediatric Simulation Symposia and Workshops (IPSSW) began in 2008 as the brainchild of Dr. Eva Wesslen-Eriksson of the Karolinska, Sweden who wanted to develop a forum for those interested in pediatric/perinatal simulation to meet in high concentration to move the field forward. IPSSW2008 was held in Stockholm and included internationally renowned keynote speakers and attracted approximately 150 attendees from 13 countries and 7 pediatric subspecialties. The unique conference was a great success creating tremendous enthusiasm for a repeat venture on a yearly basis. Beautiful Florence, Italy was host of IPSSW2009 which showed steady growth of both attendees and countries and firmly established IPSSW as the largest gathering of peditriac/perinatal simulation specialists world wide. Madrid 2010 maintained this momentum, attracting close to 300 attendees from 29 countries around the globe.

IPSSW target audience continues to include all individuals interested in the art and the science of simulation-based education and training of a wide range of multidisciplinary, multiprofessional pediatric/perinatal health care providers. Keynote speakers are drawn from internationally renowned leaders in the field accompanied by a well-rounded programme including round table discussions in smaller subspecialty and interest groups, workshops and poster presentations.
